Senior Parishioners, families, and friends, mark your calendars for January 19, 2020, when the Grade 10 young people are planning an afternoon of Bingo in the Gathering Space from 1:00 – 2:30 pm.

Grade 10 Bingo, Conversation, Refreshments, and Fun with

Washington Heights Residents!

On Sunday, October 14, 2018, the Grade 10 Religious Education Program students walked across the street to Washington Heights, where they hosted an evening of Bingo and conversation for the residents.  Students invited these senior adults to join them for Bingo, refreshments, and fun!  The residents and students enjoyed snacks and beverages as they played and socialized.  The students brought food items as prizes for Bingo.  Food prizes that remained after the evening was completed were donated to the Hartford Food Pantry.  It was an enjoyable evening for all involved.  The residents were very happy with the visit.  The residents said the Grade 10 RE students did a wonderful job and the residents had an enjoyable time. It was a wonderful evening of inter-generational sharing!

Many, many thanks to catechists Dianne Koski, Joan Schnorenberg, Ane & Bill Ohm, and Chrissy Vega for coordinating the evening and making it meaningful for both the residents and the 10th grade young adults.  Our catechists are absolutely GREAT!!
