Kindergarten Teacher

My name is Sue Hill and I am happy to be a part of the St. Kilian Family.  I have worked at St. Kilian since 1992.  In those 23 years, I have worked with almost all grades from 4k-8 in some way.  My passion lies with the early childhood level.   I have been teaching 5 year old Kindergarten now for the last 18 years. I enjoy seeing the excitement and enthusiasm they express as we begin each day.  It is so rewarding to be a part of the learning that occurs in these young minds.

We offer an all-day Kindergarten program.  I balance whole group work with small group work (especially for reading and writing).  We integrate technology in our class time and we recently acquired a SMARTboard, which we use daily.  We also do a lot of hands on learning.

I grew up in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and earned my BS in elementary education with a minor in health education from Carroll College in Waukesha.  I have taken numerous classes since graduation to keep current in my teaching methods.  I have served on many committees here at St. Kilian.  I am currently part of our Faith Formation Team.

Outside of school I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, and working outside in my yard.  I can be found spending the longer holiday weekends camping and hiking.

I am happy to be part of the wonderful staff here at St. Kilian School where we are committed to providing the foundations of the Catholic faith and educational excellence in a caring child-centered community of active, reflective, and creative learners.
