Enlightened by Faith, Enriched by Education

Jeffrey Cain

I teach Art and Technology at Saint Kilian School. I have great interest in both subjects having formally taught them at Milwaukee area Catholic schools; and for part of my career, working at industrial design firms in Detroit, Michigan and Mequon, Wisconsin.

I focus on integrating art and technology interchangeably in both subject areas creating a STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Math) curriculum created in collaboration with the other teachers and their curriculum.

My wife and I have two adult children.  As a family, we are interested in downhill/cross-country skiing, motor boating, sailing and spending time at our cottage. We enjoy traveling and have been to many interesting places including Ireland, Brazil, Bahamas, Hawaii, Dominican Republic, Canada and Mexico. We are parishioners at Saint John the XXIII in Port Washington.

To sum up my purpose in teaching the students of Saint Kilian School, I share in the words of Pope Francis to the young people at World Youth Day-

“So I ask you:  Are you looking for empty thrills in life, or do you want to feel a power that can give you a lasting sense of life and fulfillment? Empty thrills or the power of grace? To find fulfillment, to gain new strength, there is a way. It is not a thing or an object, but a person and he is alive. His name is Jesus Christ.”
