St. Kilian's curriculum provides sound academic preparation for high school with an ongoing effort to maintain its relevance and excellence.
Academic emphasis is placed on application of basic skills. After progressing through a math series, the 7th and 8th grade students are introduced to transitional math and beginning algebra. Science is taught through hands-on projects using lab skills and observation. Reading and language are integrated to focus on written and oral communication. A special emphasis is placed on technology with a state-of-the-art computer lab featuring 31 computers and a fully networked file server, as well as at least 3 computers in each classroom.
Development of proper study is reinforced through the use of organizational skills, time management, and accepting responsibility.
Excellent high school performance of our graduates demonstrates that these skills have been firmly established.
